General Information

Scheme & Syllabus of Examination

• There will be one question papers in RSSB Village Development Officer (VDO) exam

Note :-

• All questions will be multiple choice type.
• All questions will carry equal marks.
• For a wrong answer to a particular question, one third (1/3) of the total marks of that question will be deducted from the candidate’s marks.

Scheme of Examination

The examination shall include one paper of 3 hours duration covering the following subjects :-

1. Language Knowledge (General Hindi, English)- (50 marks)

(A) General Hindi (30 Marks) :-

3. General Knowledge (20 Marks)

(A) Current Affairs (10 Marks) :-

• Major contemporary issues and events at international, national and state level and the organisations, institutions and personalities related to them.

(B) General Science (10 marks) :-

• These questions of General Science will be based on day to day experiences and analysis and will test the understanding and practice of science.
• These questions will also include questions which will test the candidate’s knowledge on electronics, telecommunication, satellites and other similar topics.

4. Geography and natural resources (30 Marks)

1. Wide geographical areas of the world, important places, rivers, mountains, continents
2. Environment and wildlife of India, ecology
3. Geographical landscape of Rajasthan, climate, vegetation, soil types, geographical area, human resources, population problems, unemployment, poverty, famine and drought, expanding desert, natural resources of Rajasthan- minerals and mines, forest land, water, animal wealth, wildlife and forest conservation, energy problems, traditional and non-traditional sources of energy.
