- The place of origin of Pratiharas in Rajasthan was Mandore (Jodhpur).

1. Pratihara dynasty of Mandore
Harishchandra :-
- He was the Adipurush of Pratiharas of Mandore.
- In the Pratihara inscriptions he is considered a Brahmin. That is, in the Pratihara inscriptions he is called Vipra Harishchandra.
- He was a knower of the Vedas.
- He was adept in yoga.
- Title : Rohaliddhi (One who is adept in yoga is called Rohaliddhi.)
- His four sons conquered Mandore and built a rampart there.

1. Rajjil
- He was the first Pratihara king of Mandore.

- He shifted his capital from Mandore to Merta (Nagaur).
- His elder son Tat became a sanyasi and started living in the holy ashram of Mandore.
- His younger son Bhoj became the king of Mandore and he brought his capital back to Mandore from Merta.
4. Shiluk
- He took over Tamani/Travaani (Phalodi) and Valla (Jaisalmer).
- He defeated the king of Valla, Devraj Bhatti and snatched his canopy.
5. Kakka
- He was a knowledgeable person of grammar, logic, poetry and astrology.

6. Bauk
- In 837 AD, he installed ‘Bauk Prashasti’ in the Vishnu temple of Mandore. Which is an important source of information about the Pratiharas of Mandore.
7. Kakuka
- In 861 AD, he got inscriptions installed at two places in Ghatiyala (Jodhpur). For example-
- Mata ki Saal :-
- Language : Prakrit
- It was earlier a Jain temple.
- Khakhu Deval :-
- Language : Sanskrit
- It is called Ganapati Stambh.
- He got Jai Stambh installed in Mandor and Rohinskoop.
- He got a market built in Rohinskoop (Ghatiyala).

Cherai inscription :-
- Time : 936 AD
- Place : Cherai village (Tinwari tehsil, Jodhpur)
- In this inscription we get the information about Jaskaran, son of Durlabhraj Pratihar.
Inscription of Sahajpal :-
- Time : 1139 AD
- Place : Mandore (Jodhpur)
- According to this inscription, Raipal Chauhan of Nadol had snatched Mandore from the Pratiharas.
- This inscription belongs to Raipal Chauhan’s son Sahajpal.
- Later, the Inda Pratiharas, troubled by their king Hammir Pratihara, gave Mandore as dowry to Rao Chunda Rathore (Marwar).
